4th Winnipeg Cub Group

Section Leaders (Cub Leaders):

COMING SOON!

Meeting time and place: The 4th Winnipeg Cubs meet on Wednesday from 7:00-8:30pm in the John Tyler Hall at 27 Overton Street (Glenwood Community Center)

The Wolf Cub program is designed for children 8 to 10 years of age. It is based on a mixture of games, crafts, music, stories, acting, outdoor activities, star and badge work.

This wide variety of activities, which encompasses swimming, gardening, model making, camping, drawing and more, encourages the youth to develop hobbies and handicraft skills. It allows the youth to work together in small groups to complete projects. There is also recognition for individual achievement. Badges and stars are earned to show the Cub's progress in the various programs.

The Cub program extends into the community through visits to exciting places such as fire halls, planetariums, zoos, libraries, look-outs, farms and so on. This is an adventurous program designed to match the vivid imaginations of the members. Cubbing also emphasizes family activities such as camping, cooking, house orderly work, home safety check-ups, and handyman projects. In the Cub program, Scouting's Aim is expressed through the Wolf Cub promise, law and motto.

THE WOLF CUB PROMISE

I promise to do my best to love and serve God,

to do my duty to the Queen;

to keep the law of the Wolf Cub pack,

and to do a good turn for somebody every day.

THE WOLF CUB LAW

The Cub respects the Old Wolf; the Cub respects himself/herself.
